Firmware Update for Traktor PRO and Virtual DJ
In order to make your Digital Jockey compatible for the new Traktor PRO or Virtual DJ software,
you need to update the firmware.
ATTENTION:
You will need this update only if you are using Traktor PRO or Virtual DJ.
Reloop Attack software will not be compatible with the firmware update - but you can downgrade
the firmware at any time if you choose to use Attack (V2.5 for Interface Edition / V2.3 for Controller Edition - also
supplied here in the DL section) A future update of Attack will be also compatible with V2.6 / V2.4
How to update your firmware:
- Make sure your controller is connected via USB to the computer
- Power the device OFF
- Press and hold the LEFT "SHIFT" button
- Power the device ON
- Both "SAVE TO" button should light up
- A new drive named "midiUpgDisk" should be found in your system
- Drag and drop the new firmware file ("Digital Jockey-Interface_V2.6.bin" for Interface Edition or "Digital Jockey_V2.4.bin" for Controller Edition) into the "midiUpgDisk" drive
- The Kill-LEDs and Beat-Tact-Button will start to flash while upgrading
- After the firmware is updated, the LEDs will turn off -
NOTE: It happens on some XP-Systems that a failure note appears, telling you that the file cannot be copied because it was not found. Simply, ignore this message and press OK. The firmware was already updated.
- Power the device OFF
- Switch the controller ON again, your firmware has been updated!
Note: It's the same procedure for "downgrading" the firmware to a previous one.
Be sure to take the right firmware for your edition
- Controller Edition: "Digital Jockey_V2.4.bin"
- Interface Edition: "Digital Jockey-Interface_V2.6.bin"
